K-2 Computer Class
The overarching goals for the lower elementary classes will be to improve their typing and mouse skills. Each class will have a different coding course that they will progress with through the year as well!
3rd-6th Computer Class
Upper Elementary students will have a variety of assignments. Much will be through different google apps. There will be research projects and presentations students will complete as well as papers and online articles. One of the most important things students will learn is using the internet responsibly especially in terms of Social Media. Students will also be continuing their typing skills and coding as well!
K-2 P.E.
The P.E. course for Lower Elementary will be based around improving individual motor skill functions (balance, spacial awareness, throwing, etc). There will be several activities where they will be improving their skills individually rather than as a group or team. Those will come in when students reach Upper Elementary.
3rd-6th P.E.
By this time students should have built a solid base for their motor skill functions. Now I start to introduce how they use their skills in a team function. More of the activities we will learn will be in groups or teams. This will really hit the SHAPE standard 4 of responsibility and respect for others.
